MARINE BIOPLASTICS FROM ICELAND
What we do
We are working on making innovative biodegradable bioplastics
a reality today and for the future.
Iceland is home to an unspoiled natural environment that can sustainably produce algae.
Due to their high-value compounds, algal bioplastics are resistant and durable.
Key to preventing accumulation in the environment is the need for materials that return to nature by breaking down and decomposing.
“What is now proved was once only imagined.” – William Blake.
“Exploration is the engine that drives innovation. Innovation drives economic growth.” – Edith Widder.
“Good ideas are always crazy until they are not.” – Elon Musk.
“Often, sustainability is discussed only in the context of energy. Energy sustainability is essential – but the word has a much broader meaning. It means long-term thinking about how we manage our businesses, invest in social spending, and plan for the future. This requires vision and leadership, and it requires citizen engagement.” – Joe Kaeser.
